Can you believe that I’ve never gotten a skin fade before? Well today is the day it happens.
What is a fade?
For those of you who might be asking, a skin fade is where the barber will closely fade in the sides of your hair towards the top. Your sideburns will basically be cut down so short that It will just look like you have no hair at that part of your head.
It’s a really technical haircut as a fade implies a gradual fading of the hair. The first thing that needs to be done is figuring out the line between the skin and where the fade begins.
George (the barber) creates a contrasting line with clippers to help him identify where the fade needs to take place. It may look harsh right now but as George continues the fade he’ll start cleaning it up.
A Skin fade is not as scary as you think
I used to think that skin fades were only for specific people. I had thought that my face shape and hairstyles never suited a skin fade. What I realized is that they’re not scary at all!
They are actually really versatile. Whether you’re going for a slick back pomp or short textured quiff, a skin fade can look great.
Many guys tend to get shorter sides anyways and having a skin fade just means having shorter hair for a longer period of time. At the end of the day if you want to try out a skin fade and decide after that it’s not for you, at least you know that your hair will grow back in no time. Sometimes you won’t know until you try!

Think creamy, and super easy to apply with a textured finish. It is a matte paste but we’ve included Kaolin and Bentonite which are two types of clay ingredients that help with texture.
I’m proud of what we were able to accomplish, through finish and feel we’re excited for you to have this in your hair.
